Grilled Cheese, Beer, & Bands Will Rock The Roxy's Takeover of Tonight's Sunset Strip Market
The Roxy is taking over the Sunset Strip Market tonight in honor of Social Media Week LA and LA Beer Week, which means an evening of great grilled cheese, beers, and live performances by three local bands.
An estimated 90 percent of the ingredients for the gourmet grilled cheese concoctions are being sourced from market vendors, including:
Jimenez Farm (lamb, lettuce, veggies, jalapeños); Dey's Dey's Best Beef (and chicken) Ever (chicken); Suncoast Farm (cauliflower); Gama Farm (shallots); Tenerelli Orchards (peaches); Silver Lake Farms (microgreens); Milkman (Farmstead cheese); Brassica and Brine (pickles); and Old Village Bakery (bread).
Those ingredients are being assembled into the following menu of grilled cheese options:
- Classic Grilled Cheese, with Appenzaller Cheese on Sour Dough
- Grilled Chicken, Carroway Roasted Cauliflower on Squaw Bread. Havarti Style Cheese
- Braised Lamb and reclatte Cheese, Caramelized Shallots on Pistachio Raisin Bread.
- Soyrizo, Jack Daiya, Jalapenos, on Sour Dough bread with Market Fresh Pico de Gallo (Vegan)
- Rum and Ginger Roasted Nectarines, Fromage Blanc on Brioche Bread French toast Style
All Sandwiches come with Roasted Beluga Lentil w/ Micro Greens Salad
For the imbibers amongst us, wash down the grilled cheesey goodness with hand-selected craft brews, including:
- The Roxy House Draft No. 1
- Sierra Nevada Kellerweis
- New Belgium Red Hoptober
- Deschutes Twilight
- Sam Adams Octoberfest
- Crispin Cider
Rock the night away thanks to The Roxy, who are bringing to the MRKT stage: The Mowgli's (at 8 p.m.), Sierra Swan (at 7 p.m.), and End of Ever (at 6 p.m.).
The Market runs Thursday nights from 5-9 p.m. and admission is free. The grilled cheese sandwiches are priced $5-$10. Beers are $6-$8, with sampling flights available.
