Grab A Free Doughnut At Soon-To-Open Sidecar Doughnuts Tomorrow

Sidecar Doughnuts will be handing out free doughnuts tomorrow morning in anticipation of their Santa Monica opening later this month. Having already won over doughnut lovers in Orange County, Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee is heading north to L.A. County and will open up their new shop on November 17. But before they do, they'll be handing out free samples of their signature huckleberry doughnut—just in time for National Doughnut Day. (Yes, we know there's another National Doughnut Day on June 5, but who are we to argue with two days celebrating its glory.)
Sidecar's famed huckleberry doughnut is a fluffy cake doughnut loaded with foraged Oregon huckleberries, topped with a vibrant purple, huckleberry glaze. Yeah, sign us up.
The free huckleberry doughnuts will be only be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Thursday while they last. So, you might want to get there on the early side if you want a sneak preview.
When Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee officially opens in less than two weeks, they'll be serving up their other fun and offbeat flavors like the slightly spicy Saigon Cinnamon Crumb and the savory Country Ham & Eggs, alongside seasonal monthly specials like Southern Gentleman Pecan Pie—made with Buffalo Trace bourbon—Pumpkin Fool with gingersnap crumble or Apple Fritter. They also offer a rotating gluten-free option, which is sure to be a big hit in this town. Everything is made in house from scratch and the doughnuts are made fresh throughout the day—a policy that not all doughnut purveyors stick to.
And, yes, there will be coffee when they officially open. Sidecar partnered with Stumptown to create two signature blends, designed to pair well with particular doughnuts. They'll also serve up a variety of coffee drinks, including Vietnamese Iced Coffee, lattes and cold brew on tap, as well as house-made sodas.
Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee is located at 631 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica, (310) 587-0022
