Eye Nosh: Cube's Burger...One of the Best in Town?
We are still doggedly in pursuit of finding the best burger in town (although sometimes it helps if we break it down by region) and recently we tucked into this tempting meat, cheese, toppings, and bun combo from Cube and found it's definitely in contention for a top spot on the list.
The compact brioche bun glistens with buttery sweetness, the patty is unforgivably thick and juicy--so juicy in fact that this is a burger that necessitates a side order of fried potatoes (here the plate is piled with housemade chips) and napkins, because, man oh man will you be oozing and slurping up that meaty liquid. It's served with chipotle ketchup and charred shallots and a choice of cheese, although it took absolutely no convincing to take our server's suggestion we go with some stilton. However, since Cube is also a specialty cheese bar, you can name your poison here from an appealing selection of cheeses.
But is it the best burger in town? We're still tasting around to find out...
