Cuisine and Cocktails Get the Old Hollywood Star Treatment at Upcoming Moveable Feast Event
Chef Meg Hall is teaming up with one of the city's most innovative bartenders, Matt Biancaniello of the Library Bar at the Roosevelt, for the second installation of her roving dinner and cocktail party, A Moveable Feast. Taking a cue from the Hollywood Roosevelt's storied past, the theme of the evening is old Hollywood glamour, starring tasty beverages and innovative fare reminiscent of the golden era of the silver screen and contemporary new classics.Hall, who left a career in the financial industry to pursue her passion for cooking, is an established caterer who started Moveable Feast as a way to "to throw a fun party, make wildly creative dishes and team up with some of the hottest mixologist, lounges, wineries and restaurants around Los Angeles," she explains.
For the upcoming March 27th event at the Roosevelt, Hall and Biancaniello have been working closely to create pairings, with a cocktail for every dish on the six-course appetizer-portioned menu. Biancaniello, who is known for his Farmers Market forays to come up with seasonal ingredients to use in his bold mixology, says "The creativity of [Hall's] menus offers me great material to work with and I am eager to join her on this culinary expedition."
