Brunch Comes to M.B. Post
Brunch at the Beach! Every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 1:30pm, enjoy your fill of Chef David LeFevre’s sweat and savory morning dishes, and a couple of new brunch cocktails at M.B. Post. Already tempting is the M.B. Post Benedict - an organic egg, La Quercia Prosciutto, rocket greens, bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuit (naturally!) and hollandaise.

Drago Santa Monica is Closing
After 21 years, Celestino Drago is opting not to renew his lease at Drago in Santa Monica. The Daily Dish reports: Drago says he’d like to reopen the restaurant at a new location if it’s “the right place with the right deal.” But with [his other eatery] Drago Centro “so busy, it’s good to have one less thing to worry about for now.” The restaurant will shutter at the end of January.

Lunch Launched at Son of A Gun
Son of A Gun kicked off lunch service this week, which means more opportunities to order up their cherished Fried Chicken Sandwich. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30AM to 2:30PM. [Eater]

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere. LAist is now 100% community funded and that means we’re taking our future into our own hands and turning to you to keep local reporting strong.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our nonprofit newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our communities. We are free to follow facts wherever they lead and to hold power to account without fear or favor. Our only loyalty is to our readers and listeners and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen Southern California’s communities.
