12 Places To Get Breakfast Pizza In Los Angeles
People like to say you can't eat pizza for breakfast, and we're here to assure you that you can. Put an egg on any pizza and it's basically a breakfast pizza, in our humble opinion. However, you could also take the road less traveled and brunch up your pizza with salmon and capers or a little hollandaise. Here are a dozen places around L.A. where you can score a great pizza to start your day.
LITTLE DOM'SLittle Dom's has two pizzas one could reasonably consume for breakfast. One is a flatbread topped with smoked salmon, crescenza cheese, capers and red onions ($18). Or, if you prefer, you can try the one with egg, speck and mozzarella ($20). Both are good, and of course, come with the charm of being at Little Dom's, whose bloody marys are full of pickled vegetables.
Little Dom's is located at 2128 Hillhurst Avenue in Los Feliz, (323) 661-0055
THE DENThe Den's new "Sunday Funday" menu launched earlier this summer, offering brunch on weekends from noon to 3 p.m. They have a tasty breakfast flatbread with white sauce, mozzarella, prosciutto, chili flakes, garlic aioli and an egg ($14) that, surprisingly, isn't too heavy. They've also got a number of light, refreshing cocktails you could sip instead of the standard bloody mary and mimosa options, including the Captains Coffee made with Bulleit bourbon, lemon, grapefruit bitters and maple syrup for if you can't decide between coffee or cocktails. When it's not too hot, the patio is quite pleasant and sufficiently secluded from the busy street.
The Den is located at 8226 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, (323) 656-0336
CLAUDINE ARTISAN KITCHEN & BAKESHOPClaudine in Encino serves breakfast Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and until 3 p.m. on the weekends. Claudine Artisan Kitchen & Bakeshop is located at 16350 Ventura Blvd in Encino, (818) 616-3838
WALLY'SThe pizzetta carbonara is, in this writer's opinion, Wally's best brunch item. It's topped with cotto (salami), scallions, mushrooms, jalapeños, crème fraîche and an egg that is perfectly runny, and easy to sop up with the chewy crust. When you're finished with brunch, you can browse the adjacent shop's vast selection of wine and cheese. $16.
Wally's is located at 447 N Canon Dr. in Beverly Hills, (310) 475-3540
MILO AND OLIVEMilo and Olive specializes in wood-fired pizzas and baked goods, so obviously they would serve up a fine breakfast pizza. The restaurant's whole-wheat crust comes topped with sausage, potatoes, pickled chili, rosemary cream and an egg ($20). While the restaurant opens at 8 a.m., you can't get this breakfast pizza until 9 a.m. And don't forget about their espresso and coffee bar.

JON AND VINNY'S
This savory morning item comes with olive oil, red onion, rosemary, egg, Yukon gold potatoes and egg. It's $13.50, but you may add bacon for $4. And though this is their signature Breakfast Pizza, we think you should also give the All Hail Black Kale a shot: fennel sausage, black kale, mozzarella, chili oil, egg and cacioavallo cheese ($17.50).
Jon and Vinny's is located at 412 N. Fairfax Ave. in the Fairfax District, (323) 334-3369

LOVE & SALTLove & Salt called itself an "Italian-inspired restaurant with a California soul," and it's definitely managed to win the critics over since opening in late 2014. They introduced brunch last summer.
