Beverly Hills Toasts "Farm-to-Shaker" Drinks During "Cocktail Week"
If it's trendy, Beverly Hills is on top of it, and that goes for boozy beverages, too. The city is running a Cocktail Week from August 10 to 18, and the emphasis is on "farm-to-shaker" drinks, as in cocktail concoctions that make use of farm-sourced fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs.
"Everyone has heard of farm-to-fork, but now all the rage is farm-to-shaker,” says Greta Dunlap, Manager of The Beverly Hills Farmers' Market. “Farmers’ market-driven cocktails offer the best of two worlds," in a press release about the spirited event.
Bars and restaurants taking part will each offer a specialty cocktail crafted using ingredients sources from the weekly Beverly Hills Farmers' Market, which runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Here's what participating establishments will be shaking up:
