Our June member drive is live: protect this resource!
Right now, we need your help during our short June member drive to keep the local news you read here every day going. This has been a challenging year, but with your help, we can get one step closer to closing our budget gap. Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership.

The list of new restaurants coming to the still-under-renovation Westfield Century City mall is already impressive. The West Coast's first Eataly is set to make its debut at the don't call it a mall, as is the first Din Tai Fung in Los Angeles city proper.

Now, a list of additional tenants has been revealed by the center's owners. The new food offerings announced are Biryani’s by Spice Affair, Chick-fil-A, Grom (the Italian gelateria with locations already in Malibu and Hollywood), Kafe Bougatsa (a new concept by Petros), Lette Macarons, Panini Café, Pressed Juicery, Randy’s Donuts, Rori’s Artisanal Creamery, and Wexler’s Deli. Century City will be the third location for Wexler's, and the 400-square-foot stall will host about 10 seats at the counter.

As June photos by food blogger Toddrickallen show, it appears several of these restaurants will be located in the soon-to-open food court.

“We’re tremendously excited about the retailers and restaurants that continue to open as we prepare to unveil the new Westfield Century City this Fall,” William Hecht, Westfield’s U.S. COO, noted in an emailed statement. “Westfield Century City will be an urban oasis in the middle of Los Angeles, celebrating the best of the Southern California lifestyle and offering one of the most dynamic, curated offerings across fashion retail, dining, health, wellness, and entertainment.”

Westfield's press release also notes several restaurants that are slated for "future" openings. They include Saint Marc (described as a pub/cafe/bakery hybrid...we're intrigued), Tocaya Organica (the "modern organic Mexican" food chain that already operates four L.A. area locations), Smitten Ice Cream, Tosai Sushi, Everytable, Aloha Poke Co., and a project by Jonathan Waxman (who made his name at kitchens like Berkeley's famed Chez Panisse, and Michael's in Santa Monica).

It's clear that Century City will become something of a culinary mecca for the West of La Cienega crowd, and the expanding roster offood hall tenants out-calibers the mall's closest rival, the Beverly Center.

Official opening dates for the new slate of restaurants have yet to be announced, but expect things to be coming online by Fall.
