For those who are less concerned with international academic rankings comes a list of American universities based on the definitive extra-curricular activity: Drinking. The college bar is an institutional concept, and Complex.com has done their homework and come up with their list of the 50 Best College Bars in America. So did they have any love for SoCal?Not really. With the Midwest, Northeast, and South well-represented, California and the Western states made a poor showing. Two Berkeley spots made the list, and one lone Los Angeles college watering hole, too. Sorry, Bruins. This time the bragging rights go to your rival Trojans; the USC bar Traditions barely made the grade at number 49...but it isn't even in its "real" spot. Complex breaks it down:

A once famed drinking institution, Traddies has been relegated to the lonely corner of a campus food court while it waits for the completion of its new Student Center digs (allegedly in fall 2010). But it's cool, the whole "shriveled shadow of its former self" vibe reminds us of the USC football program... boosh! See you in 2012, suckers.

And no, CalTech, we're not snubbing you. This is one college list you don't show up on. Just out of curiosity, though, where do Los Angeles' college students go to tie one on?
