Eye Nosh: Breakfast at Bottega Louie

Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

Good morning, sunshine! Did you have your breakfast today?

We're big fans of breakfast here at LAist (remember our Wake Up LAmonth-long series covering breakfast eats?) and sometimes even bigger fans of pictures of breakfast. That's how this plate wound up here in our Eye Nosh series today. It's from Downtown's Bottega Louie, an eatery that not only wins our hearts for their food--like their delicious panini offered up at the Great Chefs of LA event, but earlier this year took home top honors in the 4th annual 2009 Restaurant Design Awards presented by American Institute of Architects Los Angeles (AIA/LA).

Here our Lifestyle Editor Julie Wolfson shares with us this breakfast dish: Poached eggs, haricots verts, potatoes, golden baby beets, shitake mushrooms, tomatoes & Reggiano parmesan. We say: Hello, gorgeous!
