Zsa Zsa Gabor's Husband "Furious" About Daughter's Conservatorship Request
Frederic Prinz Von Anhalt, the 68-year-old husband of actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, held a press conference today to discuss his reaction to Gabor's daughter Constance Francesca Hilton's attempt to have the court assign a conservatorship for his wife. Gabor, 95, has been in declining health for the past few years, and in 2011 endured a leg amputation and a broken hip.
Von Anhalt said he was "furious" about the filing submitted by Hilton today in Los Angeles Superior Court, reports City News Service. He added that the couple's Bel Air home has already been subject to scrutinizing by a outside agency: "They came up to the house, they questioned my wife, they saw the house, they saw the bedroom, and everything is fine,'' he said.
Hilton, however, attests she is increasingly concerned about her mother's well-being, and her documents filed today point to not only financial concerns such as the defaulted mortgage on the home and questionable loans, but also to Gabor's physical condition.
Hilton said she was alarmed following recent visits with her mother, remarking that Gabor appeared "heavily sedated," and showed signs of having had bed sores. She also noted that a makeup artist who did Gabor's face for her 95th birthday celebration last month "saw lesions on the woman's face."
Gabor's daughter says she is worried Von Anhalt, a man with eclectic pursuits, including a bid for the 2013 Los Angeles mayoral race, is exploiting her mother.
Von Anhalt and Hilton's relationship has been on the decline along with Gabor's health. Hilton is Gabor's only child; her father was hotelier Conrad Hilton.
