New 'Ray Donovan' Trailer Features Susan Sarandon
If you aren't already watching Ray Donovan, then good news: you have four seasons of highly entertaining television for your binge library. The show, "set in the sprawling mecca of the rich and famous" delves into the "dirty work [Ray does] for L.A.'s top power players," all while juggling never-goddamn-ending family drama. The show will return for fifth season on August 6th, and Showtime has just released the first trailer, featuring new cast member Susan Sarandon.
According to Deadline, Sarandon will play media mogul Samantha Winslow, who throughout a season long arc will set Liev Schreiber’s Ray "against her own fixers in fear they may know too much.” In the trailer, she declares, "Find the thing you love the most and let it kill you," which Charles Bukowski probably never said.
Aside from Schreiber and Sarandon, returning cast includes Jon Voight, Dash Mihok, Paula Malcomson, Kerris Dorsey, and the always wonderful Eddie Marsan.
Important programming note: when the show returns, Twin Peaks will move time slots and will air at 8 p.m.
