With Summer officially around the corner, outdoor concert season is coming into full swing. The Greek Theatre is one of L.A.'s premiere spots for just that with upcoming concerts featuring Imogen Heap, My Morning Jacket, Rufus Wainwright and others. On Sunday, June 20th, the Queen of Neo Soul Erykah Badu will perform for her Out My Mind, Just In Time tour. Special guests Lupe Fiasco and Janelle Monae will join her. In celebration of Summer, let's give a pair of tickets away (if you really need them now, you can buy tickets for the show here). To enter our contest, comment on this post telling us what you look forward to this Summer in Los Angeles. Maybe it's all the concerts you're going to see. Maybe it's longer days, meaning more hikes in Griffith Park near the Greek. The options are endless, the city is yours. Full contest details are below.

  • Enter the contest by making a comment on this post. Comments must fit the criteria, stated below.
  • The criteria of the comment is to share what you most look forward to this Summer season in the Los Angeles region.
  • Only one entry per person allowed.
  • Comments will be accepted through Thursday, June 17th, 2010 at 08:00:00 a.m.
  • One qualifying comment will be chosen at random and the winners will be notified via the e-mail connected to their LAist.com login. The winner must confirm the receipt of the e-mail by 6:00:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17th, 2010 or the tickets will be released to another winner.
  • A pair of tickets will be held at will call

Good luck and enjoy the show!

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere. LAist is now 100% community funded and that means we’re taking our future into our own hands and turning to you to keep local reporting strong.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our nonprofit newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our communities. We are free to follow facts wherever they lead and to hold power to account without fear or favor. Our only loyalty is to our readers and listeners and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen Southern California’s communities.
