One Way to Prepare For 'Steak and BJ Day'

Ladies and gents, did you know that men have declared March 14 as "Steak and BJ Day"? Yes, that's right, in response to having to bust out the hearts and flowers on February 14, dudes are expecting their mates to dole out the meat and oral pleasure. After all, it shows you care, right?
Anyhow.
An event on March 14 commemorating "Steak and BJ Day" caught our eye, so we thought we'd pass on the info, in case it inspires your carnivorous and carnal appetites.
The Pleasure Chest will present a free workshop on the art of the blowjob, and some in attendance will go home with free steaks and gift cards donated by local butcher shop Lindy & Grundy.
Specifically, the course is called "Head of the Class: Blowjobs 201" and it will take place on "Steak and BJ Day" eve, Wednesday March 13th from 8-10pm at the Pleasure Chest’s West Hollywood store. Here's what it's about:
The class, taught by educator Sex Nerd Sandra, is dedicated to teaching students “the art of the better blowjob.” The course description suggests that the class “is for anyone who feels confident in giving head, but wants to take their skills to the next level,” making it a perfect primer for the annual holiday.
All that, and the possibility of free meat!
The Pleasure Chest warns prospective pupils that their free workshops are really popular, especially the BJ ones, so they suggest people arrive at least 30 minutes early to get a seat.
If you don't need to hone your skills, you are, of course, welcome to celebrate "Steak and BJ Day" however you see fit. Be safe and enjoy!
As Editor-in-Chief of our newsroom, I’m extremely proud of the work our top-notch journalists are doing here at LAist. We’re doing more hard-hitting watchdog journalism than ever before — powerful reporting on the economy, elections, climate and the homelessness crisis that is making a difference in your lives. At the same time, it’s never been more difficult to maintain a paywall-free, independent news source that informs, inspires, and engages everyone.
Simply put, we cannot do this essential work without your help. Federal funding for public media has been clawed back by Congress and that means LAist has lost $3.4 million in federal funding over the next two years. So we’re asking for your help. LAist has been there for you and we’re asking you to be here for us.
We rely on donations from readers like you to stay independent, which keeps our nonprofit newsroom strong and accountable to you.
No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, press freedom is at the core of keeping our nation free and fair. And as the landscape of free press changes, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust, but the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news from our community.
Please take action today to support your trusted source for local news with a donation that makes sense for your budget.
Thank you for your generous support and believing in independent news.
