The Cantina From 'Star Wars' Is Popping Up In Hollywood This Winter
Having trouble finding a seedy place to have a drink and recruit a roguish smuggler to your crew? You're in luck, because a Mos Eisley Cantina pop-up is coming to Hollywood this winter, Nerdist reports.Scum and Villainy Catina is located "less than 12 parsecs away, in the wretched hive of Hollywood," according to the tavern's website. This only makes sense as Obi-Wan Kenobi described the Mos Eisley Spaceport to Luke Skywalker as "a wretched hive of scum and villainy" in A New Hope. The actual location is listed as secret on the cantina's Facebook page, though the zip code is 90028.
Guests can either make a two-hour reservation—which will net them two drinks, a souvenir pint glass and a Scum and Villainy challenge coin—or come during open hours from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. Reservations will be available from either 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. to 10: p.m. each night, or from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The challenge coin allows you to come again for free during the open hours. Reservations can be made on the Scum and Villainy website here starting next week.
There aren't a whole lot of details as to what kind of food and libations will be served, or an opening date, but the bar's website notes that the Cantina will be "fully immersive" and that costumes are encouraged. You are advised you to leave your droids at home, as everyone knows that cantina bartenders won't serve their kind.
