Video: The 'Hangover 3' Crash Scene That Ticked Off OC Drivers

For those of you who were grossly inconvenienced by the temporary closure of a portion of the 73 Freeway this weekend to accommodate filming for "The Hangover Part III," and for those of you hella stoked for the third installment of the buddy comedy, here are some clips of footage shot on the closed roadway.

The video is from StarzUncut, who describe what was shot as "a wild action packed car crash involving funny man Zach Galifianakis." (It's amazing how much post-production can do in a movie, hmmm?) The site has a little more intel on the scene:

Allen was driving down the freeway in a brand new Mercedes-Benz E350 Convertible. The Mercedes had the license plate DADSBOI, which is funny since Allan’s parents are always spoiling him. In the back he was pulling what appeared to be an animal trailer. Later I found out the trailer is actually for a giraffe that gets loose on the freeway after Allen crashes his car into a semi truck. It was crazy, there was tons of smoke and the cargo from the semi truck spilled all over the freeway. After the crash I saw Zach Galifianakis running from the scene. The cops had the whole place on lockdown and tried to make sure nobody could see what was going on. I was able to get some footage of the crash right before a motorcycle cop made me leave.

What else do we know about "The Hangover Part III"--besides the fact that Costa Mesa Mayor Pro Tem Jim Righeimer thought closing the freeway for the shoot was "outrageous"? Well, at the very least, we know the ol' gang of dudes will be once again joined by Heather Graham as Jade the stripper. And that it's due out in May 2013.
