Watch Conan O'Brien Road Trip To Comic-Con 'Mad Max' Style
Super fans descending upon San Diego for Comic-Con this week, were joined last night by Conan O'Brien who turned the road trip into a bit of impressive Mad Max: Fury Road cosplay.
For the opening to his show last night, Conan took to the road dressed as the flaming-guitar-playing Doof Warrior from the latest Mad Max, bungee-strapped to the top of a well-amplified big rig. With Andy Richter at the wheel, dressed as the film's Immortan Joe, and Jimmy Vivino and the Basic Cable Band drumming in back as War Boys, the team fiercely rumbles down the 5 freeway, ready to take the convention by storm.
That is, until they run into a bit of trouble with the GPS. It seems Conan is rocking out a bit too hard up there, ripping up chords above the hood of the truck, and Andy couldn't hear the GPS instructions. Fortunately with a good spray of chrome to Andy's mouth for energy, the crew is back on Fury Road, er, the 5, and on to the convention.
Last night was the first of four Conan show to be broadcast from Comic-Con this week—the second time the host has taken the show on the road since traveling to Cuba. And we're guessing that this won't be the last of Conan's cosplay adventures for the week. Tonight he will host the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, and Friday night he'll feature the casts of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
