TV Junkie: Interviews from the 'Bored To Death' premiere
On Tuesday evening we went to the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York City to see the first two episodes of HBO's "Bored To Death" as part of their celebration of the second season premiere of the series. We snapped a lot of photos and we got to speak to the following attendees (above):
Ted Danson - who plays publisher George Christopher in "Bored To Death"
Jason Schwartzman - who plays a pseudo-fictional version of Jonathan Ames the private investigator in "Bored To Death"
Jonathan Ames - the creator, writer, producer, and showrunner of "Bored To Death" (who also has a cameo this season)
Jenny Slate - who plays Stella, the girlfriend of Jonathan Ames in "Bored To Death"
Heather Burns - who plays Leah, the girlfriend of Zach Galifianakis's character in "Bored To Death"
Laila Robins - who plays Priscilla, the ex-wife of George Christopher in "Bored To Death"
Jim Norton - the stand-up plays Jim in "Bored To Death"
Todd Barry - the stand-up comedian was in FX's "Louie" this summer and was a cast member of HBO's "Flight of the Conchords"
Murray Hill and Angie Pontani - NY-based burlesque icons who have cameos in "Bored To Death" this season
On Monday look for our backstory post on how this event went for us, as well as the afterparty that was held at the lavish restaurant/nightclub Capitale.
"Bored To Death", the series about a failed writer who becomes a private investigator via a post on CraigsList.org has its second season premiere this Sunday at 10pm on HBO. For more information on the show check out our interview with/profile of Jonathan Ames as well as HBO's website which has these incredibly detailed blog posts written by Jonathan Ames about every episode from season one (we hope he keeps it up in season two). More information on Jonathan Ames is available at his website.
