It is with great joy that I welcome the return of "Real Time With Bill Maher" tonight which will feature both Keith Olbermann and Louis C.K. as guests ("Real Time" is up for an Emmy and deserves one!). That's the high point for the weekend until the Emmys this Sunday which promises to be a multi-hour "Glee" advertisement from every indication. The perennial question is: How many awards is HBO going to walk away with this year? The drama side for actors is wide open since AMC's "Breaking Bad" is not a contender but the comedy side is dominated by ABC's "Modern Family" with multiple nominees in almost every category. We have to ask the Academy, when are you going to add a "Best Ensemble" category? There are so many productions that are ensemble-driven that it is impossible to clearly identify who are lead or supporting actors.

Again we're presenting our picks for who will win from the nominees vs who should win (based on merit and not hype). Of course, many excellent shows and performers were not even nominated this year, but what else is new, the Emmys are a populist contest held by an organization whose majority of members are out of touch. Follow the TV Junkie on Twitter this Sunday for live-tweeting experiences.

Please find my winner predictions below (the weekend listings and Must-Watch Plan follow):
