Are you as sick of hearing about Comic Con as I am? Certainly my disgust is tinged with a bit of envy as there were some great interviews to be had and parties to attend but then someone reminded me of the endless lines and overcharging for basic items and then, like Maria, I don't feel so bad. Did you need to go to Comic Con to find out that the new season of "Sons of Anarchy" will be awesome or that "Doctor Who" Matt Smith is a cool guy? I don't think so - you can get that news from me here. But one tidbit I did like hearing about was Conan O'Brien "crashing" the panel for "The Green Lantern" animated TV series - he did some great jokes and acquiesced to seemingly every audience request before mingling with people and signing autographs. Now that's something that doesn't happen at just your average nerd convention. If we had gone to Comic Con would I have tweeted the heck out of what we were seeing and doing? You bet, because I'm a whore like that, but I think you would have seen at least as many critical tweets as well as enthusiastic "this is awesome" style tweets and stories. Perhaps next year, let us not speak of it again until then.

It's a food and drink night tonight: We go with Anthony Bourdain to Naples ("Mo Reservations" on Travel @ 9pm) and then James May heads to Scotland to drink Scotch ("James May Drinks To Britain" on BBC America at 10:20pm) - after we get our drink on we will hang with Chelsea (switch to vodka?) and then wrap up the night with Don Rickles and Comic Con favorite Matt Smith on Craig Ferguson's show.

I'm not sure what The Wrap's John Sellers is referring towhen he mentions the "initial two middling episodes" of HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm." The show has experienced a more than 12% bump in ratings and widespread critical acclaim so far this season. Last night's "Palestinian Chicken" episode was definitely one of many high points the series has had over the past decade, but that shouldn't impugn what has been a great season so far, and Larry's crew hasn't even made it to New York City yet. Be sure to check out our interviews from the "Curb" premiere.
