AMC's "Breaking Bad" came back with a bang last night: "intense" is not an intense enough word to describe it. Since we don't do spoilers/recaps here let us point you to series stars (and Emmy winners) Bryan Cranston who will be appearing on "Conan" tonight, and Aaron Paul who will be on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" right after "Conan." [We're also fans of AMC's "The Walking Dead" which had a sneak peak last night - if you missed it the video clip is at the end of this post.]

We talked to comedian Jen Kober for the first time almost three years ago and it's been great not only to see her appear in more TV showcases but also on HBO's "Treme" and now "Curb Your Enthusiasm" where last night she played a former battered woman who takes nonsense from neither Larry David nor Richard Lewis. I hope we see her there again this season.

Ryan Murphy's "Nip/Tuck" on FX was a guilty pleasure of mine so I'm more than a little please that he'll be heading back to the network to produce "American Horror Story" which will premiere on October 5th followed by 12 more episodes. Now if only he'd stop hanging around high schools.

Paul Reiser's recent TV show flopped and that wasn't a bad thing in our opinion but "Mad About You" was great TV and Reiser is an interesting guy. Hear him interviewed on Marc Maron's WTFpod podcast and learn more about him - sounds like a nice guy, I hope to see him on TV again soon. Speaking of Maron, he will have a new comedy album, This Has to Be Funny, which Comedy Central Records will release on August 9th.

Pissed about Netflix's 60% price increase? So is the stock market which drove the stock down 4% as well as downgrades of the company by most major analysts.
