The must-watch scripted show of the night is "Men of a Certain Age" on TNT at 10pm. The Hollywood Reporter has a great write-up of some hints for these final episodes provided by Mike Royce, Ray Romano, Scott Bakula and Brittany Curran. Be forewarned that there's a couple (very minor) spoilers in the piece but you should still read it and, of course, watch tonight.
Late night TV tonight is dominated by NBC who has some awesome guests, even on the usually-loathed "Tonight Show" which has Louis C.K., followed by "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" which has Elijah Wood, Michael Rapaport, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth performs, as well as Bob Mould performing with the Roots!
Got some cool TV and/or comedy interviews/podcasts to alert you to: Marc Maron's WTFpod (see our interview with him) which has Jill Soloway who explains the history behind HBO's "Six Feet Under" and then a live WTFpod with Joel McHale, BJ Novak, Dwayne Perkins, Allan Havey, Jim Earle and Eddie Pepitone. Stay tuned for Thursday's WTFpod with Jimmy Fallon and definitely go to thelive WTFpod next Tuesday at the Steve Allen Theatre. Greg Fitzsimmons' FitzDog Radio has a phenomenal new episode with Dave Attell. If you're a Conan O'Brien fan like I am you will want to hear KCRW's "The Business" featuring filmmaker Gavin Polone who talks about his new movie Conan O'Brien Can't Stop. And don't forget the Long Shot Podcast which was recorded live this past Sunday at The Upright Citizen Brigade Theater featuring Pete Holmes ("Best Week Ever," "Premium Blend") and Brody Stevens (The Hangover, "Between Two Ferns").
Greg Giraldo was a TV star whether he knew it or not - he was a fantastic Roast Master on Comedy Central and the guy to watch on panel shows like "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn." His untimely death in September last year due to a drug overdose left a hole in comedy that his contemporaries paid tribute to in "Give It Up For Greg Giraldo." A week from today at the Wiltern, several of his friends will perform at The Big Time Comedy Show in order to raise money for Giraldo's widow and children. The incredible lineup includes Bill Burr, Dave Attell, Daniel Tosh, Whitney Cummings, Tom Papa, and Jeff Ross. It's a worthy cause with some incredible comedians that you won't see onstage together again.
