Universal Sports launches their first original program today with "Take A Seat: Sharing A Ride Across America" at 8pm. In the show, British Adventurer Dominic Gill rides a bike across America with the help of 10 companions, all of whom suffer from a different physical disability. It's pretty inspiring as you get to see America in a different way and you get to hear from a segment of the population that we don't often get to hear from. Our only gripe is that we wish Gill and his passengers would have consistently worn helmets as riding a bike without one is a convenient way to get a disability. Universal Sports will be showing episodes back-to-back throughout the month.

We're big fans of Marc Maron's WTFpod and we were very pleased late last night when our iTunes update showed a new episode with Conan O'Brien as guest. Sure, O'Brien has done a couple interviews about his recent misfortunes and triumphs but none as open and as uncensored as what you will hear on this WTFpod. Maron himself was the subject of an extended interview on this weekend's edition of NPR's "All Things Considered." We highly recommend that you check out both of these recordings.

Greg Proops, who recently had a great turn on the roundtable of "Chelsea Lately," will be doing one more live podcast of "The Smartest Man In The World" tomorrow night at 7pm at Bar Lubitsch in West Hollywood before he takes off to do comedy in Australia for nearly a month. His live (and free!) podcasts are a blast and the cocktails at Bar Lubitsch are fantastic. Have a listen to last week's episode.

After just five years in the seat, Katie Couric is leaving the anchor desk of the "CBS Evening News" in June to create something we all really need, yet another talk show. David Letterman rightly gave Couric flack when she was on his show a couple weeks ago with her departure just a rumor at that time. We thought she did a good job as anchor and that any loss in viewership was more due to CBS having their own problems with promotion rather than her performance. She should have stayed on and taught the men in the business a thing or two - we're disappointed with her decision.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this weekend's big premieres of "Camelot," "Chaos," "The Borgias," and "The Killing." Here's our reviews from last Friday's post.
