TV Junkie: Reporting from the TCAs; Emmys Auction
Another embarrassing moment is about to occur on Louis C.K.'s "Louie" on FX tonight at 11pm
We'll be at the Television Critics Association summer session all week and will start live-blogging tomorrow - we will post highlights of our liveblogs here at LAist. Today we will do a "Parenthood" set visit among other things. More to come! The Emmys are about a month away but you can already get into the mix with the Television Academy Foundation’s Emmy Online Auction which has pretty amazing opportunities incuding: a "Rescue Me" firefighter helmet signed by Dennis Leary, scripts from "Lost" and then set visits to “How I Met Your Mother,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”, a set tour with Aziz Ansari of “Parks and Recreation,” and a VIP seating to a taping of E!’s “The Soup,” with a special meet-and-greet opportunity with “The Soup’s” host and the star of “Community,” Joel McHale.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Television Academy Foundation for programs such as its acclaimed Summer Internship Program, the College Television Awards, the Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarship and the Archive of American Television. The auction closes on August 1st so get your bids in soon!

Tonight's highlight is Louis C.K.'s incredibly funny, I-have-to-watch-that-again, "Louie" at 11pm on FX. It's pretty much the only comedy with new content during these summer doldrums but we're convinced it's more original that just about any other comedy out there - it's a gem.
