TV Junkie: The Egyptian Tonight; Betty White Hosts 'SNL' Tomorrow; 'Breaking Bad' Sunday

Is it really the end of the line for the Killer Cousins in AMC's "Breaking Bad"? We'll find out on Sunday at 10pm
Weekend EditionWeekend Highlights: Saturday - We've eagerly been anticipating Betty White's hosting of "Saturday Night Live" since we reported on it in March. She was great on Jimmy Fallon last night and we feel pretty confident that the comedy veteran will have elicited the best writing and performances the "SNL" crew can muster. We're expecting impressive numbers of viewers both from the successful Facebook effort that got White to do the gig as well as older viewers who don't regularly watch "SNL". White will be going straight from the "SNL" wrap up party to her new show on TV Land, "Hot In Cleveland", which begins production on Monday. There's plenty of Hollywood "A"-listers who wish they were as hot a commodity as the 88 year-old White. [Be sure to check out our interview with her at the 2010 SAG Awards at the end of this post.]
Sunday - Watch the "Tour of California Preview" on Versus to get the lowdown on the most internationally recognized bike race in the United States. The show will review the race route and the international roster of cycling stars who will be participating from May 16-23. You can also check out the event's website to get even more detailed particulars on the 3 stages that will run in or near greater Los Angeles, including the downtown time trial. On Sunday night, the focus will be on AMC's "Breaking Bad" although we don't know how they're going to be able to top last week's jaw-dropping episode. We've been going back through our interviews with Dean Norris ("Hank Schrader"), Anna Gunn ("Skyler White"), Brian Cranston, and Aaron Paul - and everything they've said, all the little hints, have absolutely born fruit so far this season. Every week we wonder how much worse things can get and yet they manage to do it. [Spoiler Alert] Is it really the end of the line for the Killer Cousins from Mexico? They seemed to be a Terminator-like, unstoppable force but perhaps that little insight we got into their humanity at the beginning of last week's episode heralded their downfall. We can't wait to get more from what is the best show on television this weekend. [We were thrilled to hear the name "Heisenberg" in last night's rerun of "Breaking Bad" creator Vince Gilligan's "old" show, "The X-Files" on Syfy. "Brand X" was the episode and it's a good one.]
