TV Junkie: ABC Greenlights Pilots; HBO.com Relaunches

Not nearly as many guest star cameos on NBC's lineup tonight but they still look good - "Community" (above) on at 8pm
We know NBC is trying to fill it's 10pm void but ABC is also stepping up it's efforts to line-up new shows by greenlighting "Generation Y," from scribe Noah Hawley; "Cutthroat," written by Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters; and the Jerry Bruckheimer entry "The Whole Truth." None of them grab our attention especially the prospect of yet another show from Bruckheimer. More of the same means more failure - the big networks need to get innovative, not retreat to familiarity. Hire some unknowns!

HBO has relaunched HBO.com into a very slick and panoramic design. It looks really great but the navigation took a little getting used to - if you are looking for photos or links to blogs, etc., don't worry, they're all there, you just need to click into a show page and then click on any other item related to that show to get an additional sub-menu of content.
