Our Pick: The xx, Phantogram @ The Wiltern

Tonight Rhode Island-based rapper and spoke word artist Sage Francis will be taking on the El Rey Theatre in support of his fourth studio album and his first with ANTI- Records—2010's Li(fe). San Franciscan folk rockers Vetiver are poised to take on Spaceland. And, lastly, Danish electro-infused soul duo Quadron, who are touring in support of their self-titled debut, will be performing one last time here in Los Angeles at Amoeba Music in Hollyweird. But we strongly suggest heading over to the Wiltern to catch critically-acclaimed British indie rock outfit the XX. LAist favorites, NY's latest buzz band, electro-infused rock duo Phantogram (LAist Review) are slated to kick things off.

You can find these listings as well as the rest of the week's in our weekly Week In Rock post, which goes up every Sunday.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive before year-end will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
