Here's A 37-Second Look At Season 2 Of 'Stranger Things'
The Stranger Things monster gets a cameo.
One highlight from Sunday's Super Bowl was the Stranger Things commercial, which not only debuted footage from season 2, but announced a premiere date: Halloween 2017. The 37-second teaser trailer features a nod to 1980s pop culture (Ghostbusters), Eleven opening a door to a fiery hellscape featuring the monster from some drawings we see just seconds before. (This monster bears a little resemblance to the aliens from Arrival) We are then told: "The world is turning upside down."
The insanely popular Netflix show—which just took home a SAG award for best ensemble in a drama series—is now back in production.
Until it's back, maybe watch The OA—it won't pull at your '80s nostalgia strings, but some might even say it's a far superior sci-fi series!
