In today's reboot news, an eight-episode limited run of hit 1990s sitcom Roseanne is in the works, according to Deadline. Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, and Sara Gilbert are all set to reprise their original roles, with other cast members in the process of joining the project. The show is currently being shopped around to both networks and streaming platforms. The show originally aired on ABC.

The announcement comes after John Goodman and Sara Gilbert recently staged a small reunion on an episode of The Talk. At the time, Goodman expressed how he would love the opportunity to work with Roseanne Barr again, after having collaborated on a pilot five years ago. Will & Grace also recently set a reunion season, to air on NBC during the 2017-2018 season.

May 20, 2017 is the 20th anniversary of the Roseanne series finale.
