Candid Photos From The 2014 Emmys Red Carpet

The 2014 Emmys were held downtown yesterday, with celebrities from this year's best TV shows walking a very lengthy red carpet.

While some celebrities whisked by (looking at you, Julia Roberts and Peter Dinklage), some were more than happy to stop for a chat or to pose for a photo.

In full force was the cast of Orange is the New Black, as well as several actors from HBO's Game of Thrones. Unsurprisingly, many of them look much different when not in prison uniforms and armor. Other recognizable faces came from Mad Men, The Daily Show, True Detective and House of Cards. There was even an appearance by Gwen Stefani, who will appear on The Voice.

Perhaps taking a nod from Ellen at the Oscars, the selfie seemed to be a Red Carpet staple. Chris Hardwick even took one with us.

You come to LAist because you want independent reporting and trustworthy local information. Our newsroom doesn’t answer to shareholders looking to turn a profit. Instead, we answer to you and our connected community. We are free to tell the full truth, to hold power to account without fear or favor, and to follow facts wherever they lead. Our only loyalty is to our audiences and our mission: to inform, engage, and strengthen our community.

Right now, LAist has lost $1.7M in annual funding due to Congress clawing back money already approved. The support we receive from readers like you will determine how fully our newsroom can continue informing, serving, and strengthening Southern California.
