It's a star-studded Tuesday in LA with Johnny Gill, Matthew Morrison and Joseph Gordon-Levitt at three separate events. Greg Proops also records his podcast The Smartest Man in the World at Meltdown, Em & Co. house a pop-up of local designers and more. Read on for all the details.
THE DROP
The Grammy Museum presents The Drop with Johnny Gill tonight at 8 pm. The R&B sensation who was a member of New Edition before a successful solo career, then joined up with Gerald Levert and Keith Sweat to form the musical super group LSG. He’s at the Grammy Museum promoting his first new solo album in sixteen years, Still Winning (J Skillz Records/Notifi Records) on Oct. 11. Gill will discuss his career, take questions from the audience and perform. Doors at 7 pm. Tickets: $15.

Tonight at 6 pm, Joseph Gordon-Levitt presents and performs work from the new anthology, RECollection Vol. 1, a collection of his company hitRECord's work, featuring the contributions of 471 collaborators in film, art, music and writing—presented in a meticulously-designed cloth-bound piece of art. At Amoeba Records. Special commemorative poster given out with each purchase.

EM & Co presents a pop-up of revolving selection of collection LA designers, featuring the work of Petro Zillia, Lisamichelle, Tiffany Kunz Designs, Tatiana and Black Tree Couture. There’s a free reception/performance tonight at 8 pm atKPCC's The Crawford Family Forum in Pasadena featuring members of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. The evening is designed to highlight LACO’s Campus to Concert Hall program offers college kids a season pass for less than $25. The evening features LACO Composer-in-Residence Derek Bermel, clarinet; LACO's 2011-12 "Sound Investment" composer, Timothy Andres, piano; and Wiek Hijmans, electric guitar, who is the featured soloist at LACO's opening night concert.
