Tonight from 6-7 p.m. at the Santa Monica Museum of Art is the opening reception for "Wall Works - Cart: What Do We Need to Get By And How Do We Get There?" Discover the synergy of the Wall Works public art project created by K-12 students and artist Olga Koumoundouros. This project is inspired by a Caldecott Award-winning children's book "Ox-Cart Man" by Donald Hall. Bergamot Station's G-Hallway will come alive with an installation that features a symbolic representation of an ox-cart and 1880 drawings that compare this old world story of sustainable, cyclical living with the desires and excesses of our current consumer society.
