Paul Ryan Went To Universal Studios And All We Got Was This 30-Second Clip
Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is enjoying his spring break the way all members of Congress should: by coming to Los Angeles.
According to TMZ, Ryan kicked off his La La Land vacay by spending Sunday at Universal Studios:

Was he there as a Harry Potter fan? In support of Despicable Me? Both? Neither? Does he secretly enjoy Dippin' Dots? Who's to say?
We reached out to Universal Studios for comment on the visit, but they offered us none. We also reached out to the Hard Rock Cafe on CityWalk (because, let's be honest, when Paul Ryan goes to Universal Studios he probably eats at the Hard Rock Cafe). They, too, offered us no comment.
Following a deep search, we were unable to find any photographic proof on Instagram that Paul Ryan (re: a celebrity) visited Universal yesterday (re: a tourist-heavy destination), which leads us to believe that it is still possible in this day and age to go off the grid. Just to make sure this is clear, Paul Ryan (whose Instagram hashtag currently has 22,397 posts) visited Universal Studios Hollywood (a hashtag that has 3,090,253 posts) on a warm and clear Sunday (meaning, it was presumably busy) and not a single Instagram post recorded it. Conspiracy theorists: have at it.
We do have this photo of him at LAX, however. So we know he's in Los Angeles...somewhere.
At LAist, we believe in journalism without censorship and the right of a free press to speak truth to those in power. Our hard-hitting watchdog reporting on local government, climate, and the ongoing housing and homelessness crisis is trustworthy, independent and freely accessible to everyone thanks to the support of readers like you.
But the game has changed: Congress voted to eliminate funding for public media across the country. Here at LAist that means a loss of $1.7 million in our budget every year. We want to assure you that despite growing threats to free press and free speech, LAist will remain a voice you know and trust. Speaking frankly, the amount of reader support we receive will help determine how strong of a newsroom we are going forward to cover the important news in our community.
We’re asking you to stand up for independent reporting that will not be silenced. With more individuals like you supporting this public service, we can continue to provide essential coverage for Southern Californians that you can’t find anywhere else. Become a monthly member today to help sustain this mission.
Thank you for your generous support and belief in the value of independent news.
