Oprah Makes Network Execs Buy Homeless Man Expensive Beverly Hills Dinner
A homeless man enjoyed a meal at an expensive Beverly Hills restaurant thanks to Oprah Winfrey.Winfrey was enjoying a 5-course meal at Scarpetta with network execs from OWN, when a homeless man who introduced himself as Eddie approached her and asked her for soup, according to Page Six.
A "spy" told Page Six that she responded, "Please, can we get him some money, get him a meal." And just like that the staff brought some food for the man and one of the execs offered him a wad of cash.
Finally, Winfrey offered her blessing: "God bless you, Eddie."
Scarpetta's chef Scott Conant posted a link to the New York Post story on his Facebook page with the comment: "Wow!!"
