Makin' Love Out of Nothing at All: Air Sex Championships in LA This Month

Okay, you know what it means to wail on the air guitar, but how about getting it on with some hot and heavy air sex? This year marks the third season the hunt for an Air Sex World Champion is on, and the competition tour makes a stop later this month at the Satellite in Silver Lake.
The organizers help break down what to expect from a competition where the participants are "making sweet and/or filthy love" with an imaginary partner:
You choose a clip of music, you show up in whatever sort of wardrobe you like, and you come up on stage and show everyone how you do it. Or how you wish you could do it. Or, you know, just do it however you want. Anyone can compete!
Winners will compete in regional championship rounds, and the final "climax" (their words, we swear!) is in Austin, Texas, where the event got its start. (Check out some coverage about past events via Austinist.)
If you are brave enough to get onstage and act out solo what you've always wanted to do with somebody (creativity really, really counts, kids!) you can register via email. In the meantime, be inspired (or revolted) by Air Sex's YouTube page and Flickr stream.
