Lindsay Lohan Lends Her Support to Mitt Romney (But Isn't Registered to Vote)
Maybe it's because lately actress Lindsay Lohan has been, like, totally working, (and totally doesn't want to pay more taxes) but the starlet revealed last night in Beverly Hills that she is giving her support to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Her issue: Employment!E! Online spoke with Lohan on the "pink" carpet of the Mr Pink's Ginseng Drink event at the Regent Beverly Wilshire about her new political leaning:
"I just think employment is really important right now," LiLo explained when asked if she was keeping up with the election. "So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now."
Apparently this Reader's Digest revelation is just a glimpse at what big thoughts are turning in the mind of Hollywood's girl most likely (to appear in court): "It's a long story, but you're going to have to wait for that," Gawker quotes LiLo. (You're on the edge of seat, right?)
So will Lohan get the skewering her fellow thespian "Clueless" actress Stacey Dash got for throwing her showbiz power endorsement to the GOP? No word from the Romney camp about this unexpected support, but perhaps many on both sides of the aisle can agree Lohan's political tendencies are thought of as a bunch of malarkey.
UPDATE: If LiLo wants to put her ballot where her mouth is, she's going to have to take care of one important piece of business: Getting her voter registration straight. It's been a hectic time for Lohan, reports E! Online:
The Los Angeles County Voter Registration office told E! News last month that since she moved from her previous house in Venice, the starlet has yet to register and that voter material mailed to her home had been sent back.
Oopsies! Ms. Lohan, may we offer you some help? Here's our Voter How-To Basics For The November 6, 2012 Election, which includes information on registering in California--and the October 22 deadline. Get on it, girl!
