With our free press under threat and federal funding for public media gone, your support matters more than ever. Help keep the LAist newsroom strong, become a monthly member or increase your support today during our fall member drive.

Lindsay Lohan is getting suddenly bashful at the thought of going completely nude in her next movie "The Canyons."Before Lohan was associated with the project, the film's screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis said that leads will have "to act and be full frontal naked banging girls and guys realistically." Porn star James Deen would be making his big mainstream debut as the lead.

Deen is slated to star in the film as Christian, a "trust fund kid, power player and major manipulator, who is a film producer that enjoys filming his own three-way sex sessions," while Lohan will play a former model named Tara, who "has sold her pride for the material comforts Christian can provide," according to the New York Daily News.

But Lohan isn't sure she's ready for so much nudity and realistic banging in a role. An anonymous source told Radar Online: "Yes, Lindsay has posed nude for Playboy, but doing it in a movie is completely different. Lindsay needs to make sure that she is comfortable with it, and that this is something she can handle as an artist."

Lohan hasn't signed a contract for the movie yet, but we'll let you know which way her, uh, artistic sensibilities lead her.
