MONDAY 8/13
Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction, 9p NerdMelt Theater. Possibly one of the best new shows to come around, this essay show features Kyle Kinane, Baron Vaughn, Ali Wong and a ton of other great writers.
Stand Up Spotlight, 11p UCB. DERRICK sketch members and great stand ups Dom Dierkes and DC Pierson share the stage with their own back-to-back half hours.
TUESDAY 8/14
ALS Fundraiser Show, 8p Flappers. Also known as Lou Gherig’s Disease, ALS is a serious issue affecting millions of people worldwide. Mary Lynn Rajskub is trying to help raise money for the cause, and she’s bringing along a bunch of standups to help.
Big Terrific, 9p Largo. Jenny Slate is doing her thing, with Pete Holmes, Chelsea Peretti, Nick Kroll and so many other great people.
WEDNESDAY 8/15
First World Problems, 8p iO West. One of the more popular current iO teams takes your first world worries and turns them into improv gold.
The Girls of Summer, 9p Largo. Garfunkel & Oates are joining forces with Chelsea Peretti, Natasha Leggerro and Karen Kilgariff.
THURSDAY 8/16
The Three Tellers, 8p Comedy Central Stage. Three different storytellers share snippets of their lives in one hilarious hour.
The Incubator, 8p Nerdmelt Theater. Sean Conroy and Kyle Kinane are putting up some of their favorite comics, who’ll be trying out material for the very first time. This go-round features Joe Wengert, Jen Kirkman, Chris Hardwick and more.
FRIDAY 8/17
The Swarm, 8p UCB. One of the most legendary improv teams to come out of New York City hits the LA stage.
Opening Night, 9p iO West. It’s the improvised musical, from the minds of some of LA’s brightest musical improvisers.
SATURDAY 8/18
A Drinking Game, 8p Next Stage. In yet another monthly installment of their staged reading show, the ADG guys get schlammered and recreate Blazing Saddles.
Rory Scovel, 8p Hollywood Improv. Scovel is hitting up the main room for Saturday night stand up show.
SUNDAY 8/19
STARDUMB!, 7p Flappers. Bil Dwyer returns with his comedy game show format. This month includes Andy Kindler, Karen Kilgariff, Baron Vaughn and Oscar Nunez.
Mick Foley’s Summer Slam Jam, 9:30p Hollywood Improv. WWE legend Foley is hosting a night of comedy and storytelling, to benefit RAINN.
