LAst Laugh: This Week in Comedy
There are plenty of great shows this week, with iO West hosting the LA Improv Festival and the LA Fringe Festival kicking around Theater Row on Santa Monica. Plus, the usual suspects like the Nerdist Theater and the Laugh Factory are providing unique one-off shows that shouldn't be missed. So don't miss 'em!

MONDAY 6/4
The Grawlix, 8p Nerdist Theater. This variety show is part stand up, part sketch, part video and all the way great. This month they’ve got TJ Miller, Rory Scovel and Troy Walker. Plus it’s free!
The Armando Show, 9p iO West. The LA Improv Festival continues at iO West all week long, with their popular long form improv Armando show featuring monologues from the Broken Lizard guys.
TUESDAY 6/5
Literary Death Match, 8p Busby’s East. It’s an essay cagematch to the death on Wilshire.
First Time with Cacky, 8p iO West. Legendary performer Craig Cackowski brings up non-improviser comedians for a night of slightly stunted hilarity. This one’s with Paul F. Tompkins!
WEDNESDAY 6/6
TJ Miller Birthday Show, 8p Laugh Factory. It’s a stacked stand up show to celebrate TJ Miller, with Matt Braunger, Eric Andre, Anthony Jeselnik, Kumail Nanjiani and more.
Hamclown, 9:30p Little Modern Theater. Grant Pardee and Josh Androsky’s Hamclown is the stand up show that you just can’t stop. This month they’ve got JC Coccoli, The Walsh Brothers, Chris Fairbanks, Jake Weisman and others.
THURSDAY 6/7
Tim Allen, 8p Laugh Factory. Allen returns to the Laugh Factory for a night of stand up and promoting his new Last Man Standing show.
Midbest: Casey & Dave are Different, 8p UCB. Casey Feigh and Dave Theune are two hilarious white guys from the Midwest who do improv and sketch at UCB. So, you know, they’ve struggled.
FRIDAY 6/8
Sean Patton Album Taping, 8p Nerdist Theater. Popular LA comic Sean Patton records his debut album in the back of a comic book store. LA comedy is so great / weird.
Peachy Keen, 8p Bar Lubitsch. Rob O'Reilly is hosting another stand up show on Friday nights in West Hollywood, with Kumail Nanjiani, Karl Hess and more.
SATURDAY 6/9
Two White Guys Podcast, 8:30p iO West. Jason Horton and Josh Mattingly host their popular podcast, with special guests Andy Dick, Mo Collins and Horatio Sanz.
Life, The Universe & Chris McGowan, 9:30p Fringe Blackbox at NOTE. McGowan’s one-man Hollywood Fringe Festival show tries to fix the problems of the past and the future by letting storytelling (and a time machine) do all the work.
SUNDAY 6/10
Michael McDonald, 7p Brea Improv. MadTV alum McDonald is in Brea doing stand up all weekend.
ASSSSCAT, 7:30p UCB. Check in with the free version of this long-running improv show from some of UCB’s best.
