Lakers point guard D'Angelo Russell is in hot water with his team after a video surfaced that appears to show Russell surreptitiously recording teammate Nick Young talking about cheating on his fiancée, rapper Iggy Azalea. The video originally emerged on gossip site Famelous. It appears to depict Russell recording Young without his knowledge, and asking him questions about women other than Azalea. At one point, Young admits to cheating on Azalea with a 19-year-old woman he met at a nightclub. Young, as 19-year-old Russell points out in the video, was 30 at the time. Russell also asks Young if he ever "tried" to hook up with model Amber Rose, to which Young responds, "No, she knows my girl."

It's unclear if the video was supplied to the site by Russell, or if Russell shared the video with someone else who leaked it, or if this is some sort of planned, attention-seeking gag. Either way, tensions are reportedly high between Russell and the team, leading to speculation that the awkward situation may have played a role in the Lakers' recent loss to the Utah Jazz. And not just any loss: Utah Jazz crushed the Lakers by 48 points, which according to ESPN, ties with a 48-point loss to the Clippers in 2014 as the worst lost the franchise has ever had.

A source told ESPN that the team is currently "isolating" Russell for his alleged betrayal. By isolating, this apparently means high school-style tactics, as the source claims guard Lou Williams got up and walked away after Russell sat next to him in the locker room, and that no one would sit with Russell at breakfast.

Another source said the video was a "prank gone wrong and a mistake for [Russell], and he has to be held accountable, but I would hope he isn't overly criticized for it." It's worth noting that rookie Russell is a prized player for the Lakers, and one of their top draft picks last year. The Lakers were already looking to trade Young, according to SB Nation.

As SB Nation points out, Russell could potentially be in more trouble than just having nobody to eat eggs with. California is a two-party consent state, meaning that Russell could have broken the law by recording what Young thought was a private conversation without his knowledge or consent. However, it seems unlikely that that the two will appear in court over the matter.

While Russell's teammates aren't pleased with him, Iggy Azalea, 25, seems to be on his side. This "bro code" malarkey aside, she's the one planning a wedding with someone who may have cheated on her with a teenager. Azalea expressed her feelings in one simple tweet:

She and Young have been together since 2013, and got engaged in June 2015.

Things haven't been that great for Young lately. Earlier this month, a woman posted a photo of Young and teammate Jordan Clarkson, claiming that they sexually harassed her and her mother. Lakers spokesperson John Black later said that there were "different interpretations of what happened" and that the team believed and supported Young and Clarkson.
