'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' On Hiatus, Kim Returns To L.A. Where She 'Feels Safer'

Following a violent robbery while in Paris earlier this week, Kim Kardashian has returned to Los Angeles, where a source told Us Weekly "she feels safer." She had originally returned to NYC where she has been for several days with husband Kanye West and their children, but on Thursday the family (sans Kanye) left their Manhattan home and took a private jet, with "several security guards," back to L.A.

The source added that "she has canceled everything for the next several weeks and will not be working," and that includes Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which has been put on hold "indefinitely."

Kardashian was held up at gunpoint in her Paris hotel on Sunday night, when gunmen "bound and gagged her with handcuffs and tape and then put her in the bathtub." They stole a cell phone (which was wiped remotely), and millions of dollars worth of jewelry, including her $4 million ring. It's believed it could have been an inside job, and Kardashian has been blaming herself—"She’s tearing herself up that she Snapchatted the ring so much and wore it all the time. This incident is making her question everything. How she dresses, what she does."

There is surveillance video of the robbers leaving the hotel after the crime, but TMZ reports that you only "see the robbers on a reflection of glass in a shopping area... the robbers were fleeing on bicycles... there's no way to distinguish any facial features."

West was alerted of the robbery while performing in NYC on Sunday night, and stopped his set mid-song when he was told of a "family emergency." He has postponed upcoming concerts, but will resume his tour on Friday.

One year ago, Congress voted to defund public media, eliminating a critical $1.7 million from our budget every year going forward. But they couldn’t silence us, and we’re not going anywhere.
