Rapper Kanye West has reportedly been hospitalized and is currently under psychiatric evaluation.

LAPD Officer Tony Im told LAist that officers reported to a home on the 900 block of North Laurel Avenue around 1:20 p.m., Monday afternoon. Im said that what was originally a disturbance call became a medical emergency. Brian Humphrey, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to LAist that firefighters responded for "an unspecified medical aid request" and added, "an adult male, described as medically stable, was taken to an area hospital for further assessment."

According to TMZ, one of West's doctors was checking him for sleep deprivation when someone with the rapper decided he needed to be admitted. TMZ says West did not want to go and had to be restrained when transported to the UCLA Medical Center.

This comes on the same day that his Saint Pablo Tour was abruptly canceled. Last night's concert at the Forum in Los Angeles was unexpectedly canceled, and just in the previous days he went on rants at his concerts in Northern California against Jay Z, Beyonce and Mark Zuckerberg and also said he would have voted for Donald Trump.
