Jamie Foxx Rescues Man From Fiery Car Crash

Jamie Foxx: Oscar winner, two-time Grammy winner, hero.On Monday night around 8:30 p.m., the actor and another man were the first to respond to a solo-car crash that happened in front of Foxx's property on West Potrero Road in Hidden Valley. "Jamie told CHP that he heard the accident and also a person screaming from the overturned vehicle," wrote Joel Council of Safety for Citizens. "Jamie also made a 9-1-1 call. Jamie said he was able to reach into the vehicle, grab the person, and drag them away to safety."

A representative for the actor confirmed that it was indeed Foxx who assisted in rescuing the driver. "Jamie didn’t hesitate. He jumped out and ran to the car," the rep told ABC News.
According to the CHP, the 32-year-old driver was driving a Toyota Tacoma when he struck a drainage ditch, causing the truck to roll over multiple times and ultimately burst into flames. "One of the witnesses retrieved a rescue tool from his vehicle allowing the two citizens to break the window, cut the seat belt, and extricate the driver," said the CHP.
The driver, identified as Brett Kyle of Newbury Park, was taken to a hospital for major injuries to his head, neck, and chest and ultimately arrested on suspicion of a DUI.
