The Beverly Hills jeweler wasn't joking: Brad and Angelina confirmed that after 7 years together, they're engaged.

Pitt's manager Cynthia Pett-Dante, confirmed the news to The Associated Press in an e-mail on Friday. She said that there isn't a wedding date yet, but the engagement "is a promise for the future."

Previously, the couple said that it wanted to wait until gay marriage was legal in California. But maybe the couple finally gave in to pressure from their kids? Earlier this year, Pitt admitted their kids wanted to see their parents married, because, of course, that's what couples do in the movies.

Pitt told CBS: "It means something to them. We will (get married) someday, we will. It's a great idea. 'Get mommy a ring.' 'Okay, I will, I will.'"

Here's a photo of the ring.
