Get Your Wine On This Weekend

LA Winefest will be taking place at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood this weekend. Along with countless wines, sakes, beers and spirits available for tasting, there will be a number of presentations with speakers including Anthony Riboli and Ken Volk.
The Winefest is pouring a wide variety of imported wines as well as the kosher wine Hagafen. Microbrews from Firestone Walker Brewing Company and Karl Strauss Brewing Company will be featured. The event will offer the high end ginjo and daiginjo sakes. All tequilas will be 100% agave.
Presentations include "Barrie Lynn, The Cheese Impresario, presenting her Artisanal Cheese & Wine Pairing Adventure seminar with cheeses by the artisan cheesemakers of Wisconsin" "Ichiro Saito of Hakutsuru Sake of America Presents 6 different sakes, and 2 types of Plum wine". And for an additional fee, the Knob Creek Whiskey Seminar.
The event takes place between 2pm and 6pm Saturday and Sunday. Daily tickets go for $55 (Goldstar still has $33 tickets for Sunday). Weekend tickets are $100. LA Winefest supports the YMCA and Children's Tumor Foundation.
