Get Out: Spaghetti Western Festival, Travel & Adventure Show, Ojai Wordfest

Fistful of Dollars: The First Los Angeles Spaghetti Western Festival takes place today at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. The all-day event features screenings of classic spaghetti western, rare spaghetti western trailers, a special guest panel of heyday actors, a book signing breakout, and, of course, a live musical tribute to Ennio Morricone! 5269 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601, 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., $45 at the box office.

To Infinity and Beyond: "From safaris to scuba diving, wind surfing to wine tours, archeology excursions to relaxing on a pristine beach," discover travel destinations, attractions, activities, producte, services, specials and giveaways from more than 500 exhibitors today and tomorrow at the Los Angeles Times Travel & Adventure Show. Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., $12

Nine Lives: Hop in the car and head north for the 9-day, literary spectacular, Ojai WordFest, "a festival of words, ideas and stories unfolding in one of the most beautiful settings in California: the majestic Ojai Valley." The two weekend summit encourages readers and writers of all genres, skill level, and ages to participate in more than 100 individually-hosted events around Ojai. Many events are free.
