Get Out: Occupy Chanukah, Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration, Hiking & Ice-skating

CHANUKAH: Tonight the Knitting Factory-Brooklyn and The Federal Bar in North Hollywood will be "Occupying" Chanukah. Music artists on the "Neo Jewish" music scene will be playing on both coasts, and all the proceeds will benefit Kids of Courage. The Moshav Band, Jared Stein, Mikey Pauker and friends, Brad Wallace and Mendi Bar will all be playing in North Hollywood. The Federal Bar is located at 5303 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood. The cost is $15 and all ages are welcome. Doors open at 7pm and a community-wide Menorah lighting will kick off the show at 8pm. HOLIDAY: Los Angeles County is hosting its annual Holiday at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion from 3pm to 6pm. Choirs, music ensembles and dance companies from the many neighborhoods and cultures of L.A. celebrate the season during this free, three-hour extravaganza. The show is free and the parking is free. Feel like watching the extravaganza but don't feel like getting off the couch? The show airs live on KCET-TV, KCET.org, KPFK 90.7 FM and KPFK.org, with repeat broadcasts on KCET and KCET.org from 8pm to 11pm. For more information, check out the website.
