Get Out: Golden Globes Viewing, Honoring The Slits & Salomón Huerta

MUSIC: Tonight Part-time Punks at the Echo pays tribute to The Slits with performances from members of the Vivian Girls, Bratmobile, Rainbow Arabia, Tamaryn & Raw Geronimo. The tribute starts at 10pm. For more information, check out Part-time Punks' website or The Echo's site.
BOOKS: Los Angeles-based artist Salomón Huerta is releasing a limited edition his book "Let Everything Else Burn" today, which is a compilation of short autobiographical texts paired with his artwork and images. The release party is from 2 until 5 pm at LM Projects, 125 W. 4th St. #103. For more information, visit LM Projects' site.
AWARDS: If you're going to watch the Golden Globes, the Abbey in West Hollywood is the place to do it. The awards start at 5 pm, but you can head over there as early as 3 pm to start checking out the red carpet fashion. For more information, check out the Abbey's Facebook page.
