Haitian native George Laguerre, owner of TiGeorges' Chicken in Echo Park, is hosting a dinner tonight on behalf of victims of the earthquake that devastated Haiti this week. "There will be several Haitian relief organizations here," he told the Times. Other local benefits include a "Mothers for Africa" fundraiser for Haiti on Saturday, January 16th at 6pm at the Afiba Center located at 5730 Crenshaw Boulevard, according to CaribPress.
