Video: Gwyneth Paltrow Talks To Ellen About Her Pubic Hair 'Disaster'

Congress has cut federal funding for public media — a $3.4 million loss for LAist. We count on readers like you to protect our nonprofit newsroom. Become a monthly member and sustain local journalism.

Gwyneth Paltrow, actress and goop purveyor, says that she was "totally flabbergasted" when she heard that People magazine was honoring her with their cover for their "Most Beautiful People" edition.

But not long after the cover came out, Paltrow showed up to the "Iron Man 3" premiere rocking an incredibly sheer (and kind of bizarre) dress that she said sent her "scrambling for a razor." Oy. She explains the process of getting ready that day: "So I went from being the most beautiful to the most humiliated in one day."

She joked: "I work a 70s vibe."

Here's the full clip of Paltrow treading into hilarious TMI territory:

At another point on the show she talked about what it's like to be named "World's Most Beautiful Woman" by People. She told Ellen, "Honestly, I thought this was a joke. I read it three times, because I was like this is not for me. It was actually psychologically interesting, because for a minute, I really thought, like, someone was playing a joke on me...I talked about it with my shrink."

It looks like she's settling into the title (maybe her shrink helped). She blushed, but then got up an started dancing in this video with the trio of strippers Ellen got in her honor:
